How it works — and why it isn't a font
WhatsApp doesn't let you change fonts. What this tool does instead is swap each letter for a look-alike character from Unicode, the standard every phone uses for text: a mathematical bold 𝐀, a script 𝒜, a circled Ⓐ. Because the result is ordinary text, it pastes anywhere WhatsApp accepts text — no app, keyboard or font download needed.
Only the letters A to Z and the digits 0 to 9 have styled versions. Sinhala, Tamil, emoji and punctuation pass through unchanged, so you can mix a styled English name with text in your own language.
Stylish text vs. WhatsApp's own formatting
WhatsApp has built-in formatting for messages: *bold*, _italic_, ~strikethrough~ and ```monospace```. That formatting only works inside chats and needs the symbols around your words. Stylish text works anywhere — including your About line and profile name, where WhatsApp's formatting doesn't apply. For bold or italic in a normal message, the WhatsApp text formatter is the better tool.
Before you style everything
- Screen readers read styled letters oddly or skip them, so keep important details (prices, addresses, numbers) in plain text.
- People can't find you by searching a styled name — keep your business name plain so customers can search for it.
- A few older phones show some styles as empty boxes. Bold, italic and sans styles are the most widely supported.
- Styled letters take more room: most count as two units, so a long styled About line reaches WhatsApp's 139-character limit sooner.

Does stylish text work in Sinhala or Tamil?
No. Unicode only has styled look-alikes for the English letters A–Z and digits 0–9. Sinhala and Tamil text stays as it is, so you can still combine it with styled English.
